Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards: A)Rail Spur - On or about October 14, 2011, employees who were connecting and disconnecting transfer lines on top of the 90 ton railroad tank cars were not provided with fall protection. B)Bridge - On or about October 14, 2011, employees who were connecting and disconnecting transfer lines to the tops of tanker trailers were not provided with fall protection, while on the trailer. AMONG OTHER METHODS, FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE MEANS OF ABATEMENT, INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 1)Installation of a fall protection system. 2)Installation of truck/railcar loading rack system. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM
