29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a) Upper floor, South side of building: On or about March 24, 2011 and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to a 12 foot 1 1/8 inch fall hazard by working around an unprotected wall opening. There was top rail in the opening, but no mid-rail. b) Upper floor, South side of building: On or about March 24, 2011 and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to a 12 foot 1 1/8 inch fall hazard by working around an unprotected window opening. The window sill rose to 36 inches. Note: Abatement certification is not required for this item.
