29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25m) or less in width, by a safety monitoring system alone: a) On or about March 29, 2011, employees were exposed to fall hazards of greater than 12 feet while they performed roof repair work from multi-level flat roofs on condo/townhome units without the use of a fall protection system. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Sample Abatement-Certification Letter"). Western Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10) or its equivalent which was contained in OSHA inspection 311912174, Citation 2, Item 1, issued June 15, 2009, with respect to a workplace located at 6479 East 58th Avenue, Commerce City, CO 80022. This citation became final on July 8, 2009. Western Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10) or its equivalent which was contained in OSHA inspection 312136419, Citation 1, Item 1, issued September 24, 2008, with respect to a workplace located at 533 Van Gordon Street, Lakewood, CO 80228. This citation became final on October 14, 2008.
