OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to chemical hazards:    a) Southern Foods Group, LLC dba Meadow Gold Dairies at 450 25th Street, Greeley, CO 80631:  On or before 5/12/11, the employer did not segregate incompatible chemicals in the chemical storage room, in that 55 gallon barrels of concentrated Mandate Plus (pH of 1), Octave (pH of 1), Enforce LP (pH of 12.4), Principal (pH of 12.5), and XY-12 (pH of 12.5), were stored in close proximity to each other.  The barrels were not double walled, and the employer did not have secondary containment beyond the barrel periphery to contain spills.  The employees were not trained regarding the safe configuration of the chemical barrel setup.  Condition exposed employees to chemical inhalation and burn hazards.
