29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Except as provided by paragraph (a)(3) of this section, each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level shall be protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems or fall restraint systems:    a. On or about July 12, 2011, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee performing structural steel erection operations, installing wire rope guardrails, was exposed to a fall of twenty four (24) feet nine (9) inches created by the presence of unprotected sides and edges.    The Regal Steel Erectors, LLC. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311368161, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on January 8, 2008, with respect to a workplace located at 642 S. Clark Street, Chicago, Illinois.
