1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail systems, warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system: a) Nordmann Roofing Company Inc. on or about July 22, 2011, at the address of 3230 Starr Avenue, Oregon, OH: the employer did not assure employees were protected from falls while installing new roofing material to a low sloped roof on a commercial structure. The employees were exposed to a potential 10'6" fall to the lower roof level. b) Nordmann Roofing Company Inc. on or about July 22, 2011, at the address of 3230 Starr Avenue, Oregon, OH: the employer did not assure employees were protected from falls while removing water to prepare a low sloped roof for replacement. The employees were exposed to a potential 12'6" fall to the ground below. Nordmann Roofing Company Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard CFR 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311611263, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 8, 2009, with respect to a workplace located at 3139 King Road, Sylvania, Ohio.
