1926.502(h)(1)(v): The safety monitor had other responsibilities which took the monitor's attention from the monitoring function. a) Nordmann Roofing Co. Inc. on or about June 27, 2012, at the address of 400 E. Poe Rd. Bowling Green, OH: The employer failed to ensure the safety monitors only responsibility was the monitoring function. The designated worker charged with monitoring employees performing roofing work on a low slope roof, partook in activities such as removing/installing roofing material. These actions took his attention away from employees working near the roofs perimeter. Employees were exposed to a potential 13 fall to the ground below.
