29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): \r\n\r\nIf at any time a powered industrial truck is found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, the truck shall be taken out of service until it has been restored to safe operating condition. a. In the warehouse where powered industrial trucks were used to load and unload semi trucks, the forklift number 175 was not in good repair in that there were lights and energized wires handing from the light holder thereby exposing employees to a contact hazard. The Vitran Express was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1910.178(p)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313940181, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 9/21/2011, with ewspect to a workplace located at 2105 W. 162nd Street, Markham, Illinois, 60426.
