29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line systems and guardrail systems, warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system: (a) J.B. & Co., Inc., 14800 South County Road 594, Tiffin, Ohio: On or about August 23, 2011, at worksite located at 267 Benedict Ave, Norwalk, Ohio, the employer did not ensure that each employee engaged in roofing activities on a flat roof, with unprotected sides and edges was protected from falling. An employee was installing roofing material and was exposed to a fall of more than 10 feet to an asphalt driveway. The J.B. & Co., Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313784498, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 10/20/2010, with respect to a workplace located at 2707 Tracy Road, Northwood, Ohio.
