29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there were potential electrical hazards were not provided with electrical protective equipment that was appropriate for the specific parts of the body that needed to be protected and for the work being performed: The maintenance employee, who performs voltage testing on equipment up to 460 volts, was not provided with appropriate personal protective equipment, such as: Face shield, fire retardant clothing, rubber gloves and leather gloves. Abatement certification is required for this item in accorance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

The Elite Manufacturing Technologies, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occuptational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 309773224, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on October 4, 2007, with respect to a workplace located at 333 Munroe Drive, Bloomingdale, IL 60108. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
