Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fire/explosion hazard: a) Building #1 & Saw sharpening shed: On or about September 12, 2011, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards as the duct work from the saw sharpening shed was connected to the dust collection system from the cut line in Building #1 introducing ignition sources into the wood dust stream. Note: Abatement certification is required for this item.
