29 CFR 1910.107(g)(2): Spraying area(s) were not kept free from the accumulation of deposits of combustible residues: (a) Freelance Enterprises LLC at 1851 W. 52nd Ave., Denver, CO 80221: The spray booth area was not kept free from the accumulation of flammable deposits of Sherwood water white conversion varnish, a Class II combustible (flash point of 100� F, and boiling range 172� F - 325� F) and Sherwood fast dry vinyl sealer a Class 1B flammable (flash point below 21� F, and boiling range 132� F - 290� F) in that accumulation of overspray had built up in areas up to 1 inch thick. This condition exposed the employees to potential of a fire hazard.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Point(s) or operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): (a) Freelance Enterprises LLC at 1851 W. 52nd Ave., Denver, CO 80221: The edge sander was not guarded on one end leaving an exposed in-going nip point between the sanding wheel and the sand paper. This condition exposed the employees to an amputation hazard.

29 CFR 1910.213(c)(2): Handfed circular ripsaw(s) were not furnished with a spreader to prevent material from squeezing the saw or being thrown back on the operator: (a) Freelance Enterprises LLC at 1851 W. 52nd Ave., Denver, CO 80221: The Jet Delta table saw in the shop was not equipped with a spreader. This condition exposed the employees to a kickback hazard. Abatement Note: To properly guard the saw: (a) The spreader shall: (1) The spreader shall be made of hard tempered steel, or its equivalent, and shall be thinner than the saw kerf. (2) The spreader shall be of sufficient width to provide adequate stiffness or rigidity to resist any reasonable side thrust or blow tending to bend or throw it out of position. (3) The spreader shall be attached so that it will remain in true alignment with the saw even when either the saw or table is tilted.

29 CFR 1910.213(c)(3): Handfed ripsaw(s) did not have nonkickback fingers or dogs so located as to oppose the thrust or tendency of the saw to pick up the material or to throw it back toward the operator: (a) Freelance Enterprises LLC at 1851 W. 52nd Ave., Denver, CO 80221: The Jet table saw in the shop was not equipped with nonkickback fingers or dogs. This condition exposed the employees to a kickback hazard. Abatement Note: To properly guard the saw the nonkickback fingers or dogs shall be located as to oppose the thrust or tendency of the saw to pick up the material or to throw it back toward the operator. They shall be designed to provide adequate holding power for all the thicknesses of materials being cut.
