29 CFR 1910.37(a)(2):  Exit routes must be arranged so that employees will not have to travel toward a high hazard area, unless the path of travel is effectively shielded from the high hazard area by suitable partitions or other physical barriers.    a.  Sheet Metal Shop -  Four cylinders of oxygen, an accelerant, and a cylinder of propelyne, a fuel, were stored immediately adjacent to an exit potentially exposing employees to the hazard of burns.

29 CFR 1910.151(c):     Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitablefacilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use.[63 FR 33450, June 18, 1998]    a.  Sheet metal shop - The eyewash was more than 25 feet away from the area where work was done with acidic/corrosive fluxes and was not in a straight line of travel potentially exposing them to eye injury.    b.  Plumbing shop - Portable eyewashes capable of a 15 flush were not available to employees working with bleach in the field potentially exposing them to eye injury.

Carpenter's Shop - The list of hazardous chemicals did not include all hazardous chemicals used in the shop potentially exposing employees to chemicals which could cause health effects.    b.  Air Conditioning Shop -  The list of hazardous chemicals did not include all hazardous chemicals used in the shop potentially exposing employees to chemicals which could cause health effects.    c.  Plumbing Shop - The list of hazardous chemicals did not include all hazardous chemicals used in the shop potentially exposing employees to chemicals which could cause health effects.    d.  Tire and Small Engine Repair Shop - There was no  list of hazardous chemicals used in the shop potentially exposing employees to chemicals which could cause health effects.
