A) In the workshop at the US Forest service forestry Lab facility, there was a bench grinder that had its work rest 1/2 inch from the surface of the grinding wheel.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(C) Unless specifically permitted otherwise in paragraph (g)(1)(ii) of this section, flexible cords and cables were used through doorways, windows, or similar openings. A) At the storage building at the US Forest Service Forestry Lab, a flexible cord was used to keep a diesel engine warm, while running from an inside outlet, through a shutter door, that was kept closed on top of the cord.
