29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) with defect(s) or in any way unsafe had not been withdrawn from service until restored to safe operating condition(s): Employees were exposed to electrical hazards and struck-by hazards because two powered industrial trucks were not withdrawn from service until they had been restored to safe operating condition: a) The back rest on the Clark electric forklift from the Production Area was bent back and could catch on the top of the mast when lifting materials causing them to fall on to employees. b) The horn switch on the Caterpillar electric forklift from the Production Area had exposed electrical conductors and was hanging loose from the steering column.
