29 CFR 1926.602(d) NOTE: The requirements applicable to construction work under this section are identical to those set forth at 29 CFR 1910.178(l) of this chapter.    29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i):  The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator was competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l):    a) The employer did not train and evaluate the employee operating the Terex Model TH1056C rough-terrain forklift.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1926.251(e)(8): Synthetic web slings were not immediately removed from service if any of the following conditions specified in 1926.251(e)(8)(i) through (e)(8)(v) were present:  (i) Acid or caustic burns; (ii) Melting or charring of any part of the sling surface; (iii) snags, punctures, tears, or cuts; (iv) broken or worn stitches; or (v) distortion of fittings:    a) Synthetic web slings in the job box at the site had snags, tears and worn or broken stitches and were available for employee use and not removed form service.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
