29 CFR 1926.451(g)(4)(ii): The top edge height of toprails or equivalent members on supported scaffolds manufactured or placed in service after January 1, 2000 were not installed between 38 inches (0.97 m) and 45 inches (1.2 m) above the platform surface or placed in service before January 1, 2000 and were not between 36 inches (0.9 m) and 45 inches (1.2 m): a) An employee performing masonry work on tubular welded frame scaffold platforms was exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 30 feet where a toprail was not installed between 38 inches and 45 inches. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
