29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(i)(B): Goggles or other suitable eye protection were not used during all gas welding or oxygen cutting operations. Spectacles without side shields, with suitable filter lenses are permitted for use during gas welding operations on light work, for torch brazing or for inspection: a) Service Spring Corp. - Millbury, Ohio: On or about February 7, 2012, the employer failed to ensure that employees cutting wire with an oxygen/ propylene torch were wearing proper eye protection. Employees were exposed to eye injuries while wearing safety glasses without shade protection.
