29 CFR 1926.652(a): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c): On 02/09/12 during the installation of a storm sewer main, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from a cave in while working in an excavation that measured 3 to 5.6 in feet in depth, 50 feet in length, and 6 feet in width. DIGIOIA SUBURBAN EXCAVATING LLC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD CFR 1926.652(A)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 313782930, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 02B AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON 0712/10, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 10135 AVON BELDEN RD.
