29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered a) The proper personal protective equipment selected for metal pourers and furnace tenders in the Molding Department was inadequate in that leggings were not worn for additional protection against splashes to the legs from aluminum molten metal at 1375-1425 degrees Fahrenheit.
