29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: a) Assembly, on or about 4/11/12: Relocatable power taps (RPT's) were being used as permanent wiring, including, but not limited to, at the 1088 testing fixture station 3 and at station 4, two RPT's at the 1088 build station, RPT at line 1300 inspection range. b) Ammo Dept., on or about 4/12/12: A yellow extension cord and a relocatable power tap providing current to a Piercer machine and a light were being used as permanent wiring. c) Ammo Dept., on or about 4/12/12: An extension cord and a relocatable power tap providing current to two graphs at the burst oven were being used as permanent wiring. d) Ammo Dept., Cupper Area, on or about 4/12/12: A flexible cord next to the Bliss part revolution mechanical power press providing current to an air gauge was strung overhead and being used as permanent wiring. e) Ammo Dept., on or about 4/12/12: An extension cord strung overhead and across the floor to provide power to a sump pump for the Titanic was being used as permanent wiring. f) Ammo Dept., BB Packer, on or about 4/12/12: A flexible cord with a four way receptacle outlet attached, providing current to the taper and sealer, was being used as permanent wiring. Abatement certification must be submitted for item a.

Abatement documentation must be submitted for this item. Employer was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard which was contained in OSHA number 312374515, Citation Number 1, Item 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 6/25/10 with respect to a workplace located at Routes 5 & 20, East Bloomfield, NY 14443.
