29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2):     The employer did not develop an accident prevention program, that provided for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment, to be made by competent persons designated by the employer.    a)  9 Copley Circle, Montebello:  Employees were exposed to job-site hazards while installing shingles on a steep sloped (10 on 12 pitch) roof.  Employees were not provided fall protection.  The employer had not initiated a program for a competent person to conduct frequent and regular inspections of the jobsite, to identify hazards and/or stop the work in the event workers were placed in a hazardous condition.  Observed on or about 04/10/2012.    NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):     Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.    a)  9 Copley Circle, Montebello:  Employees were exposed to fall hazards between 11.5 and 22.5 feet while installing shingles on a steep sloped (10 on 12 pitch).  Employees were not using any means of conventional fall protection.   Observed on or about 04/10/2012.    NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.    C ROJAS CONSTRUCTION CORP.
