29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section: a) Employees were not protected from the hazard of cave-ins while working in a trench that measured approximately seven feet in depth. Maneval Construction Company, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 92428, citation 1, item number 2, issued on August 31, 2011, and was affirmed as a final order on or about September 8, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 5701 Oakton Street, Skokie, Illinois. No abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
