29 CFR 1910.303(b)(4): Equipment intended to interrupt current at fault levels shall have an interrupting rating sufficient for the nominal circuit voltage and the current that is available at the line terminals of the equipment: Circuit breakers used on circuits providing power for electrical devices and/or equipment did not have interrupting ratings sufficient for the current draw imposed by these devices and/or equipment the list of which includes, but is not limited to: window air conditioners, floor buffers, and microwave ovens.
