29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. On or about June 03, 2016 correctional officers conducting impromptu body pat downs and area searches were not provided or required to wear appropriate sized puncture resistant gloves.

29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(3)(iii): The employer did not ensure that appropriate personal protective equipment in the appropriate sizes was readily accessible at the worksite or issued to employees: On or about June 03, 2016 correctional officers conducting impromptu body pat downs and area searches were not able to easily access puncture resistant gloves. Sufficient quantity of appropriate sized gloves were not available for all correctional officers.
