29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems, nor  did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502.    a)  On or about April 12, 2012, employees were not protected from falls while performing roofing work without the use of fall protection systems.  Employees were tearing off roof shingles and walking across the roof without being attached to fall arrest systems.  The employer was not utilizing a monitoring system or other method of fall protection for this work.    Valenzuela Roofing was previously cited for a violation of the Occupational Safety and Health Standard, or its equivalent 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection 314657404 Citation 1 item 2, issued on July 16, 2010 and became a final order on August 30, 2010 with respect to a worksite located at 10061 Altura Street, Commerce City, CO 80022-9933.    Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item.
