29 CFR 1926.351(c)(1): The employer did not ensure that a ground return cable had a safe current carrying capacity equal to or exceeding the specified maximum output capacity of the arc welding or cutting unit which it services. a) 122 Route 130 South, Bordentown, NJ: Employees were exposed to electrical hazards when using grounding cables that had a cracked and broken insulator. The exposed conductor was noted to be frayed with broken wires and did not have a safe current carrying capacity. Observed on or about 04/18/2012. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
