29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2)(iv): Front-end loaders and similar pieces of equipment were used to support scaffold platforms when they were not specifically designed by the manufacturer for such use: At this jobsite an employee was standing in the front end loader bucket approximately eight feet above ground level without any personal fall arrest equipment exposing employee to a fall hazard. IN THE ALTERNATIVE: Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing, or likely to cause, death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard:
