29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):     Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest system.    a) Marathon Roofing, LLC on or about May 10, 2012, at the address of 302 Canterbury Drive, Huron, OH: The employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls while removing old roofing material from a 8/12 pitched roof on residential structure.  Employees were exposed to approximatly a 10 ft fall to the drive way below.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):     The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:    a)  Marathon Roofing, LLC on or about May 10, 2012, at the address of 302 Canterbury Drive, Huron, OH: The employer did not ensure that employees had been trained in the appropriate use of fall protection such as, but not limited to, the use of personal fall arrest systems or alternative acceptable measures while performing residential roofing operations.
