29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): If at any time a powered industrial truck is found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, the truck shall be taken out of service until it has been restored to safe operating condition. Harsco Infrastructure, located at 3477 Harding Highway East, Marion, OH 43302: On or about May 15, 2012, the employer failed to remove Daewoo forklift # 1 (Model GC30S-2, Serial # 0606327) from use based on mechanical defects such as, but not limited to, broken strobe light and broken rear light. Employees were exposed to struck-by and caught-in-between hazards. No additional abatement information is needed for this item.
