29 CFR 1926.28(a): The employer is responsible for requiring the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment in all operations where there is an exposure to hazardous conditions or where this part indicates the need for using such equipment to reduce the hazards to the employees. Strait & Lamp Lumber Company, Inc. - West Locust Street, Newark, Ohio jobsite: On May 18, 2012, an employee delivering lumber to this construction site did not wear, and had not been provide, a "high" visibility vest when working in and near the path of travel on Locust Street, thereby being exposed to a struck-by hazard from vehicular traffic.
