29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.: In the northwest corner of the facility next to the pellet dryer: The employer provided an air nozzle that did not have a chip guard to reduce the pressure of the air to less than 30 p.s.i. The air compressor was set at 115 p.s.i. and was not regulated to less than 30p.s.i.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1): Electrical equipment was not free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: In the production area of Sun Tech Industries, Inc.: Employees were exposed to the following electrical equipment that was not free of recognized hazards. 1. On the Pelletron located in the northwest corner of the facility: the employer had installed an electrical switch to power the unit on and off. The electrical box was not designed for this type of application. 2. On the Sonic Welder in the center of the facility: the employer had made a pigtail to adapt the electrical interlock type receptacle to a standard 110 volt household style receptacle.
