OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by or crushed by the tires/wheels of a steerable trailer: a. Yard - Girder loading operation - On or about June 8, 2012, employees were not protected from the hazard of being struck by or crushed by the tires/wheels of the steerable trailer (dolly) after the girder was set in place, prior to it being chained.
