29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. This violation occurred on June 13, 2012, at a workplace located at 3320 N. Central Expressway, Plano, TX 75074; where at least one (1) employee was painting the roof of a commercial structure without the use of fall protection.
