29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems.  The employer does not protect its employees from falling by use of a fall protection system while employees are working from heights. This violation was observed on or about June 13, 2012, located at the Magnolia West work site at or near 40930 FM 1774, Magnolia, TX, where an employee was exposed to an approximately 18 foot fall while installing fascia on the roof of a newly constructed oil and lube building without a fall protection system.   RAMCO ERECTORS WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 316283266, CITATION NUMBER 1 ITEM NUMBER 1 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON MAY 10, 2012, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 6672 SOUTH PADRE ISLAND DRIVE. CORPUS CHRISTI, TX 78412.  Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are protected from falling to lower levels.
