OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: On or about 06/20/2012, at the Port of Miami Tunnel Project, the employer did not ensure that employees were using pipe couplings that were not damaged or defective. Among other methods of abatement, one feasible and acceptable method to correct the hazard is to follow the coupling manufacturer instructions and.....add the rest of what you have in worksheet of 5(a)(1). PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
