29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1):  Electrical equipment was not free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees:    a) Shop - The Dewalt  12 in. miter saw Model DW 705, S.N. 48378 had a damaged power cable.  The outer jacket was broken. The internal conductors were exposed, and were partially covered with electrical tape.     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.304(g)(5): The paths to ground from circuits, equipment, and enclosures were not permanent, continuous, and effective:    a) Shop - The Porter-Cable belt sander model No 361 did not have a ground pin in the power plug.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws:    a) Shop -  The Dewalt  12 in. miter saw  Model DW 705, S.N 48378  did not have strain relief device at the male end of the cord.      b) Spray area - The 4.0 ft. diameter Heat Buster cooling fan Model  SPL4223,  S.N.  B00 was powered with a red extension cord that did not have strain relief device at the female end of the cord.     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
