29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system , nor by an alternative fall protection measure as specified elsewhere under 1926.501(b) in Subpart M: At a residential dwelling under construction, employees were permitted to perform roofing work activities at heights over 10 feet without fall protection. Employees were exposed to a fall of 24 feet to ground level.
