29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc:      a.  On or about 7/11/12, at forming department, Pavilion Furniture, Inc.   An employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while working with a drill press (i.e. Rockwell Delta, Serial #1433378) that lacked point of operation guarding.      b.  On or about 7/11/12, at umbrellla department, Pavilion Furniture, Inc.   An employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while working with a drill press (i.e. Rockwell, Serial #1473657) that lacked point of operation guarding.     c. On or about 7/11/12, at forming department, Pavilion Furniture, Inc.   An employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while working with a pneumatic press (i.e."Air press AM#2 used to form bars for chair's back") that its pedal was not guarded to prevent unintended operation.      d.  On or about 7/11/12, at forming department, Pavilion Furniture, Inc.   An employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while working with a lathe (i.e. Toledo-999) that lacked point of operation guarding.      e.  On or about 7/26/12, at forming department, Pavilion Furniture, Inc.   An employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while working with a drill press (i.e. Craftsman, 20 inch, 12 Speed) that lacked point of operation guarding.      f.  On or about 7/26/12, at welding department, Pavilion Furniture, Inc.   An employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while working with circular saw (i.e. Delta X5) that lacked guards on both sides of the exposed portion of the blade.     g.  On or about 7/26/12, at cutting department, Pavilion Furniture, Inc.   An employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while working with circular saw (i.e. Delta) that lacked guards on both sides of the exposed portion of the blade.
