29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: a) On or about October 20, 2016 at the above addressed job site, an employee performing cutting of aluminum parts using a saw was exposed to noise dose of 81.64% or an equivalent of 88.5 dBA which was capable of causing permanent hearing loss. Monitoring was performed for 469 minute sampling time and zero exposure for the remaining 11 minutes of the 8 hour shift. b) On or about October 20, 2016 at the above addressed job site, an employee performing grass cutting of aluminum parts using a saw was exposed to noise dose of 91.48% or an equivalent of 89.3 dBA which was capable of causing permanent hearing loss. Monitoring was performed for 456 minute sampling time and zero exposure for the remaining 24 minutes of the 8 hour shift.
