29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:    Interior of commercial building: The employer exposed employees to fall hazards of 10 feet above the ground level due to a portable ladder being used that was not placed so that the ladder side rails was extended at least 3 feet above the landing.   The ladder was used to travel from the ground level to the upper landing.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    2nd level, interior building: The employer exposed employees to fall hazards of ten feet above the ground while working along the edge of the structure that was not protected with fall protection (Ex. guardrails, safety net, PFAS, etc.). The employees were engaging in wood framing task.      R.W. Hembree was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926. 501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313114638305, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/22/11, with respect to a workplace located at 421 South Garrett Street, Carrollton, GA 30117.
