29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:    a)  Employees engaged in construction work were not protected from fall hazards of up to approximately 50 feet to the ground, while working along unprotected edge of the roof.     No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):  The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards:    a)  Employer did not provide training to each employee in order to recognize hazards associated with working at an elevation and to understand procedures to control or minimize those hazards.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
