29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems.    a. Site- An employee engaged in welding activities around the entry way of the building was exposed to a fall of approximately 22 feet where fall protection was not in place.    Bret Steel Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311589741, citation number 1, item number 1, issued on 05/05/2009, with respect to a workplace located at Main Street and Court Street, Laconia, NH 03247. The final order date for the citation was on 5/20/2009 upon signing an informal settlement agreement.
