29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: On or about July 11, 2012, the exit route leading to the back of the store was obstructed with shoes and boxes, exposing the employees to fire hazards such as, but not limited to burns and smoke inhalation in the event of an emergency. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that the exit routes are not obstructed.
