29 CFR 1910.151(c):     Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:    a) Lab: An employee, Marketing Manager, conducts quality assurance checks on corrosive chemicals sold by the facility including but not limited to hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid.  There was no eyewash equipment available in the work area that could supply adequate amounts of flushing fluids to the eyes, on or about 07/27/2012.    b) Acid Filling Room: Employees, Operators, are exposed to chemical splashes to body, face and eyes by corrosive chemicals including, but not limited to, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid, and acetic acid.  Water flow was partially blocked in the right eye cup of the combination eyewash/shower unit and one quart eye wash bottles maintained in the area would not supply an adequate flow of flushing fluid to the eyes, on or about 7/27/2012.    	  c) Distillation Room:  An employee, Warehouse Supervisor, is exposed to chemical splashes to the body, face, and eyes while filling 55 gallon drums of hydrochloric acid and nitric acid.  The safety shower handle was not 69 inches or less from the level on which the user stands, on or about 7/27/2012.      Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.  Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photograph or video evidence of abatement or other written records.    CORCO CHEMICAL, WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD (1910.151c) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 314724550, CITATION NUMBER1, ITEM NUMBER 1, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON 12/20/2011, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT TYBURN ROAD AND CEDAR LANE, FAIRLESS HILLS, PA 19030.
