29 CFR 1926.300(a): Hand tool(s), power tool(s) or similar equipment were not maintained in a safe condition: On or about July 23, 2012: An employee was exposed to the follwing hazards while operating a Dewalt 14 inch chop saw that was not maintained in a safe condition. a) Saw was missing guard exposing employee to struck by hazards while cutting metal stud material. b) Saw's cord had bare conductors showing in which cord was laying close to metal stud material. c) Saw was missing grounding pin to maintain contniuos grounding path.
