29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) a) Site - Employees were building and finishing internal walls, which required cutting drywall panels and applying R-100 joint compound. The employer did not train the employees in relation to the Hazard Communication Program, MSDSs, and the Right to Know. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
