29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1):     Employees were permitted to work in proximity to electric power circuits and were not protected against electric shock by de-energizing and grounding the circuits or effectively guarding the circuits by insulation or other means:    a) Rhodes Hall Building, UGA - On or about 08/01/12 the employer did not ensure that branch circuits under electrical demolition were effectively de-energized before employees  came in contact with 120/208 V live parts inside panels.       In the alternative, OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):     The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to the hazard of electrical shock and burns:    a) Rhodes Hall Building, UGA - On or about 08/01/12 the employer did not ensure that branch circuits under electrical demolition were effectively de-energized before employees  came in contact with 120/208 V live parts inside panels.       In the alternative 1926.417(b)     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
