29 CFR 1910.179(l)(3)(i): Unsafe condition(s) disclosed during the frequent or periodic inspection(s) required by 29 CFR 1910.179(j) were not corrected before operation of the crane(s) was resumed: In the Machine Shop, on both the two Abell Howell 5 ton bridge cranes that are used daily, modifications had been made to the HBC Radiomatic remote controllers. Parts were replaced within the controllers that when the North/South directional control buttons for the bridge apparatus were pushed, the bridge moved opposite of the original label. A piece of tape with the new direction hand written was placed over the label.

29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(5): The employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged, or marked with the identity and appropriate hazard warnings regarding the chemicals contained therein: In the Machine Shop, 121-1 coolant was dispensed from barrels into approximately 4 gallon yellow containers that previously contained Prospray 62-SF. The containers contained small amounts of the Prospray 62-SF upon initial filling of the 121-1 coolant and they were not marked with their new contents.
