29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): The employer did not ensure that employees were provided with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals that were present in the workplace at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees had not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) Plating Specialties, LLC @ 574A 25 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81501: On and before 8/14/12, the employer did not provide employees with information regarding hazards associated with various chemicals used in the facility. An employee working with the acid strip tank was not provided information regarding hazards of nitric, sulfuric, and hydrochloric acids. Plating Specialties, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1), which was contained in OSHA Inspection 313419707, citation number 1, item number 5C, issued on 9/03/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 574A 25 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505.
